Met with members of the fire and home inspections departments and the Director of IT. We determined their highest pain points in their current paper-based system. We analyzed the actual inspections and gathered metrics on the exact duration of inspections, travel times, and geographic trends.
We utilized Dynamics 365 for Field Service. The solution allowed built-in schedule capabilities, which did automatic dispatching based on inspection type and inspector competencies. Custom dashboards and reports also allowed management a daily, monthly and annual view of their data for taking action on.
Dispatching inspectors became much less of a pain point for the client. The municipality provided a better and more expeditious service to the community, saving time and money.
